I could not be happier with the staff at Manorhouse. The care and attention my grandmother receives is phenomenal! When we went looking for an assisted living facility, I knew Manorhouse was the place the moment I walked through the doors. When I visit, I hear nothing but wonderful things about how well it is directed and run. Keep up the good work!
Visited my aunt over the weekend for the first time since she's moved here. This is such a beautiful place. It has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone is so friendly and helpful. My aunt is very happy. This is so much better than where she was prior to coming here. We are so happy she's in such a loving place where she now has plenty of friends and activities to keep her active. She loves it and so do we.
Just got home from a visit and this is such a lovely place. My aunt lives here and she loves it. I enjoy seeing her interact with the staff and other residents. She is truly happy here and is well cared for. We couldn't ask for anything more.
We are currently seeking an assisted living for our mother. We toured Manorhouse Assisted Living, we are very impressed. Had a wonderful visit and tour. It's a beautiful facility with a wonderful loving and caring staff. This place is everything we've been looking for and more. It is at the top of our list.
A very close friend of the family lives here and I visit her as often as I can. I just wanted to share that in my experience everyone has always been so nice and helpful. They take pride in not only doing their jobs but making sure the residents are treated like family. There is always a welcome, homey feel in the air, not cold like many other places.
I love this place. It is so Clean and welcoming. I visit often and am always impressed with the how outgoing everyone is. There's always something for the residents to do, they have so much fun. Wonderful, wonderful place!
I visited a family member over the weekend as I do regularly. I'm continually impressed with the friendly atmosphere. Never have to worry about the care given nor the cleanliness. Not only those that are most important but they keep the place festive and fun.
Knoxville is my home but I have to travel a lot with work. When mom started showing signs of Alzheimer's we visited many places and decided on this one for when the time came. Not long after we moved mom in and she has been there for awhile now. I am comforted to know she is in good capable and caring hands. I would much rather have her with me but I know that just isn't the best for her. She is very happy here and still feels she has her independence which was huge in making our decision. Of course making sure she's safe and her medicines are taken correctly and always has meals prepared for her. She even has choices. I am very happy with Manorhouse and everyone I've had the pleasure of meeting with. I can't say thank you enough for the great care they are taking of my mother.
Stopped in for a short visit today. They were making Christmas crafts. They've always got good activities and entertainment which is great. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves. So nice to see. Warms my heart to see them all having fun.
Manorhouse is the best!!! I just love visiting my grandparents and their friends. I was afraid it would feel "old" and "dull" like a nursing home, it was everything but that. I felt like I was walking into more of a vacation resort. Everything is so nicely decorated, everyone is so happy and polite, there's always activities going on, the dining area is wonderful. I am so very happy my grandparents are in such a wonderful place. If they can't be at "home" I'm glad they're here.
My mother has been a resident of Manorhouse since May 2013. It is her third care facility in less than one year as her health continues to decline. The staff has been excellent. We have learned a lot in a year and now know what to expect and appreciate in nursing care. We have monthly care meetings so there is good communication between our family and the staff. My mom is very happy at Manorhouse. It is very conveniently located for our family so someone drops by every day to see Mom. I would definitely recommend it. I know several people who also have loved ones at Manorhouse. That means a lot to me too.
Very pleased with everything at Manorhouse Assisted Living. The staff is wonderful, friendly, caring and professional. The landscape is beautiful. The food is excellent, very pleased with everything. Thank you
In mid 2010 my brother and I knew it was time for our parents, Marion and Bill Hafer, to live closer to me and to move into an assisted living facility. I didn't know where to begin looking. Word of mouth from two close friends drew us to Manorhouse. Naturally I had to check out other places, but I kept coming back to Manorhouse. It just had that homey feel we were looking for. In Oct. 2010, my parents moved into a lovely apartment with a kitchenette. I positioned the furniture around the window so they could watch the sunset like at their old home in VA. It was important to me and to them to be able to continue their lifestyle with as little change as possible. Being outdoor people, Mom and Dad love strolling thru the beautiful courtyard. The flowers, birds and sometimes someone's little kitty helps to keep us all in touch with Mother Earth and God"s creations. The musical entertainment gets the feet tapping and the hands clapping. Mom loves to get dressed up for Frank and Jerry because they "sing only to her" lol. Exercise, cards and fun daily activities helps to keep their minds sharp. We all sleep peacefully knowing my parents are happy, safe and respectfully cared for. My Dad passed away last Oct. and thankfully my Mom continues to thrive. I believe the kind friends, staff and enriching activities play a large part with her recovery. I have been a volunteer at Manorhouse for the past four years and I can honestly say I love it! It's like coming home to family the minute I walk in the door. Laughing with the residents and staff is a great way to boost those feel good endorphins for everyone. There is a great professional chemistry between all the Managers which is important. It is a well run, clean facility with emphasis on respect and care for the residents. I could go on forever listing the attributes of Manorhouse. If I can help at all with your decision making concerning your loved one, please don't hesitate to call me. You can get my number at the front desk. Blessings, Lynn A. Austin
I can't say enough positive things about Manorhouse in Knoxville, TN. My mother absolutely loves it there. She enjoys all of the activities, especially the music. Manorhouse has such a wonderful sense of family among the residents and staff. The cheery atmosphere keeps smiles on the faces of the residents when doing activities. Has a good homey feel and everyone looks happy and well cared for. I could not be more pleased with the level of care my loved one is receiving.
Fantastic place, and the staff have been very friendly and helpful. They seem like they're always on top of things with Dad's care needs, and they always get in touch with us immediately if any issues or problems come up.There are always fun activities going on and many opportunities for Dad to socialize and get to know people. He can go down and eat dinner and enjoy his meal and talk with people. So much for him to do or he can sit quietly and just enjoy the scenery around him.
My mother and step-father joined the Manorhouse family five years ago. I initially chose Manorhouse for them due to the location and because of the small apartment that was available for the two of them, which was just what my mother had hoped for. Many changes have occurred over time. My step-father passed away two years ago. The residents and staff of Manorhouse were very loving at that time and have continued to show support for my mother, who is now in a lovely room more suited to her current needs. She has commented over the years that if she cannot be in her home, which was in Alabama, Manorhouse is the best place for her to live. She also mentioned to me recently that the staff is very caring, which is comforting for her. I feel that the staff at Manorhouse is the best group and combination of care givers and management that we've had over the past five years. Management is always willing to listen and to help when needs arise. A great variety of activities is offered by energetic Miss Tori and her staff. I also appreciate the security of the courtyard, allowing outside enjoyment while offering observation by the staff. Two laundry facilities are offered if the residents whish to manage their own duties as they would be doing in their own home. This has been very important to my mother, giving her freedom as well as responsibility. There are even raised flower beds in the front of the building if residents enjoy gardening, and several do grow their own flowers for our enjoyment as well as theirs. Come in and meet Herbanna, Colleen and Tim. You will be greeted with smiles, experience and enthusiasm!
I would like to say a "Big" Thank You to Manorhouse for going beyond to make my grandmother feel at ease. Tim, has made her and our family feel like we matter. We highly recommended Manorhouse to anyone!
CLEAN..CLEAN..CLEAN..My grandma is a resident at Manorhouse. Our family is so impressed with the staff there. Everyone there including the executive director, goes above and beyond for our needs.
Toured this facility, among several others, we were very impressed. Nice curb appeal, as we were entering we spoke with some family members of a resident that were leaving from their visit. They gave us a raving review of the staff and care received for their loved one and assured us we would not be disappointed if we chose this as the new home for our loved one. We continued in for our tour and I must say everyone was very attentive and kind. Lots of smiling faces. We really were impressed with everyone and everything. We still have a couple of other places we had planned to visit, however, I think we've decided there's no need to look any further.
My mother was cared for here after developing Alzheimer's. It was difficult for me to come to the decision, but once I did, I never regretted it. Mom loved it here and everyone that had a hand in her care. We lost mom awhile back, even after her passing everyone still treated us like family. Thankful Manorhouse was there, and close by, when we needed it. I tell everyone what a great place this is and will continue to do so. Thank you all for being there and caring for my mother.
I could not be happier with the staff at Manorhouse. The treatment my grandmother receives is phenomenal. When we were looking for an assisted living facility, I knew the moment that I walked in the doors, this was the place. I hear nothing but pleasant things from my grandmother about how well things are run. Thank you for being such a wonderful place!
When my sister and I were searching for a facility to help with our father, it was a very tough decision to make. Neither one of us had the time to give him that he deserved. After touring several facilities, we knew that Manorhouse would be the one. The attentiveness that they showed toward my father was exceptional. I know he is in good hands when we are unable to visit with him.
My grandfather is in exceptional hands in this facility. The activities they have, and the time they spend with their residents makes all the difference compared to other homes that I've toured with my mother.
When my family decided it was time for my Aunt to enter an assisted living facility, we searched our hearts out! We toured many communities in Knoxville and surrounding areas. Manorhouse really stood out for us. The grounds are well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are lovely! My aunt is happy being there and she had made lots of new friends.
Great place, very pleased with the care received.
So blessed to have such a wonderful place to help in the care of my grandmother. Everyone is so nice and helpful. She loves being there and we are so relieved to know she is in such a great environment with such a fabulous, caring staff, attentive staff.
I wanted to let you know how much my aunt loves your community. After several weeks of looking for a new home for my aunt, I was lucky to find Manorhouse. My aunt is very happy with all of the activities that you offer - she is very involved and making a lot of friends. At home, she would not have met such nice ladies with so many of the same likes. The food is great, my aunt never misses a meal to eat unless our family takes her out. We were both pleased that she was able to decorate her apartment as she wished, it is her new home for sure. I can sleep at night now knowing she is safe and receiving excellent care, thank you. I would like to personally thank your Executive Director for making this transition great for my aunt and our family. Thank you to all of the Manourhouse staff, you are awesome.
I just returned from a trip to see my sweet mother-in-law Elizabeth at Manorhouse, and I just had to express my sincere thanks for the excellent care she receives there. Monday was her birthday, and the staff graciously assisted her daughter (and my wife) Kathy, in getting the room ready for the big celebration. Then, afterwards, they made cleanup so much easier. Tuesday was, for us, filled up with cleaning out her house so it can be rented, so we were very grateful that the youth dance company visited that day. She thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Finally, on Wednesday, Kathy and I got to be with her for two hours while she tried on new outfits. It was almost like she got to visit Kathy’s store! I have over 30 years’ experience as a pastor, and part of my job is to visit our senior members in assisted living facilities all over North Carolina. Manorhouse certainly ranks with the best of them. Keep up the good work! Rick Wilkerson
